Activating Forms Runtime Diagnostics using Applications Profiles

Forms Level Activation

1. Log in to Oracle Applications as a user with the System Administrator

responsibility.
2. Select the System Administrator responsibility.
3. Select the Profile -> System function (this will launch Forms).
4. Search for the Applications user and the profile option Forms Runtime Parameters.
5. Add the required parameter : record=collect.
6. Commit the changes and log out of Applications.
7. Restart the Forms OC4J group using either adformsctl.shadformsrvctl.sh (socket). (servlet) or
8. Log in to Applications as the user whose Forms Runtime Parameters

profile option was amended.

The forms trace file will be written to the $FORMS_TRACE_DIRcollect_, where is the process identifier. directory. By default, this directory is named

1. Log in to Oracle Applications as a user with the System Administrator

2. Select the Functional Administrator responsibility.
3. Select the Core Services tab.
4. Select the Profiles link from the Menu bar.
5. For the Name value enter the profile option: Forms Runtime Parameters then Click the "GO" button to proceed
6. Select the listed value Forms Runtime Parameters then Click the "Define Profile Values" button .
7. Choose "User" from the Folder tabs available then click the Add Another Row Button if the desired user and value are not defined.
8. Add the required parameters, using the syntax: record=collect.
9. Commit the changes and log out of Applications.
10. Restart the Forms OC4J group using either adformsctl.shadformsrvctl.sh (socket). (servlet) or
11. Log in to Applications as the user whose Forms Runtime Parameters

profile option was amended.
